Dry Close to Weekend, Start to Workweek

This brief dry spell will be interrupted on Tuesday by another rainmaking system from the west.

After Nestor’s quick departure, we ended up with just over one inch of rain here in Greater Charlotte, while areas near Morganton received over two inches. Although we desperately needed the rain, it is definitely a welcome sight to see the sun back out for the remainder of the weekend. After topping out in the mid 70s Sunday afternoon, we’ll wake up on Monday with temperatures hanging around the mid-to-lower 50s. Some spotty shower activity is possible to start out the workweek as clouds roll in from the west Monday evening. Enjoy the drier weather while it lasts. An impressive cold front moves through on Tuesday, bumping up rain chances once again.
