New Push To Add National Trick or Treat Day To Halloween Holiday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – This year, the push to move Halloween to the last Saturday of October has evolved. Now, the group that launched a petition in 2018 to make the change says they want to instead add a day to the festivities. More than 155,000 people have signed their name in support so far.

The Halloween and Costume Association suggests Halloween stay as is, always celebrated on October 31st, and that the last Saturday of the month become “National Trick or Treat Day.” They say it’s a safer, bigger, longer celebration for all.

Our question of the night: should Halloween be moved, or should we add a National Trick or treating day?
