Tornado Watch Issued For Several Counties Throughout The WCCB Viewing Area Until 11PM

CHARLOTTE, NC — The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for several counties throughout the WCCB viewing area on Halloween night.

The watch will remain in effect through 11pm on Thursday, October 31, 2019.

The following counties in our area have been included:

North Carolina:

  • Alexander
  • Anson
  • Burke
  • Cabarrus
  • Caldwell
  • Catawba
  • Cleveland
  • Gaston
  • Iredell
  • Lincoln
  • Mecklenburg
  • Richmond
  • Rowan
  • Stanly
  • Union

South Carolina:

  • Chester
  • Chesterfield
  • Lancaster
  • York

Ashe and Watauga counties in North Carolina have also been placed under a Tornado Warning. That warning however, is only in effect until 7pm.
