Queen City Audio Video Appliances Hosting Events To Celebrate Nationwide Week Of Giving

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — No Child Hungry is the focus of a national effort in November and Queen City Audio Video Appliance, along with other local retailers, is giving back to the community during the Nationwide Week of Giving from November 3rd though November 9th.

Queen City Audio Video and Appliances will host the region’s largest meal-packing event as part of this effort in the fight against childhood hunger.

Through No Child Hungry, Queen City has funded all the needed supplies to pack 50,000 meals, which will be distributed in the Charlotte area in partnership with Salvation Army, Second Harvest Food Bank, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Charlotte, Care Ring and Family Forward Charlotte.

“We welcome the Charlotte community to join us in our efforts towards providing meals for local children in need. It’s part of culture here at Queen City to find ways to give back to those who have supported us for 67 years,” said Queen City CEO Roddey Player.

Queen City Audio Video and Appliances is just one of several dozen Nationwide MarketingGroup members participating in the National Week of Giving, with more than 300,000 meals expected to be packed over seven days.

“Our network of Nationwide members is a powerful force and is filled with some of the most giving dealers in the business, and Queen City is at the forefront,” says Tom Hickman, Nationwide’s president and chief member advocate. “The collective effort to give back just keeps growing, and the difference it’s making is humbling. Our team is so excited by what Queen City Audio Video and Appliances is doing in Charlotte, and the great need this event will meet.”

Members of the local community are invited to help pack those meals alongside our employees at Queen City Audio Video Appliances located at 2430 Queen City Drive in Charlotte.
