Kannapolis Mother Arrested, Boyfriend Wanted On Child Abuse Charges
KANNAPOLIS, NC — A Kannapolis mother has been arrested on child abuse charges. Police say warrants have also been issued for her boyfriend.
Jamie Adams was arrested on October 31st and charged with Felony Child Abuse (Negligent Child Abuse with Serious Physical Injury).
Police say the charges stem from a report on October 26th alleging the abuse of her 4-year-old child at a home on Pacific Drive. According to investigators, the child suffered multiple serious injuries as a result of abuse by Adams and her boyfriend, Raheem Johnson.
Warrants have been obtained for Johnson, also charging him with Felony Child Abuse (Negligent Child Abuse with Serious Physical Injury), but police say they have not been able to locate him.
