Novant Health Healthy Headlines: World Diabetes Day

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Today is World Diabetes Day, which hopes to raise awareness of the impact of diabetes. It is a chronic health condition that affects how your body turns food into energy. More than 30 million American adults have diabetes, which is the leading cause of kidney failure, lower-limb amputations and blindness.

Here today to discuss this important health issue is Matt Reynolds, a Novant Health family nurse practitioner.
