Prayer Vigil Announced For Hickory Ridge High School Homecoming Queen Who Battled Cystic Fibrosis
HARRISBURG, N.C. — A prayer vigil will be held on Friday, November 15th for Hickory Ridge High School’s Homecoming Queen Faith Shaw.
Shaw passed away on November 12th from complications of cystic fibrosis. She was 18-years-old.
“She faced death as courageously and gracefully as she lived her life, and was at complete peace letting go. She knew where she was going, was excited about her new Home…and said she was really looking forward to the food. One of her final requests was to make sure to keep her story going,” says her mother, Susan Shaw.
The candlelight vigil will be held at 5pm at Hickory Ridge High School, 7321 Raging Ridge Road in Harrisburg. The public is welcome to attend.
