New Museum Hopes to Change Stigma Surrounding the Female Reproductive System
The very first museum in the whole world dedicated solely to vaginas opens Saturday in London. The museum various displays and artwork about the female anatomy, periods and virginity. One artist even displayed a box filled with her own used underwear, to combat stigma surrounding vaginal discharge. The creators say they want to help change the way people talk about the female reproductive organ. They were inspired by a similar concept in Iceland: a museum where artists pay homage to the penis.
