Parents Punish Daughter By Taking Over Her Social Media

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —  A teenager in Texas will probably stay clear of trouble from now on. When 15-year-old Maddi got grounded, her parents gave her two options for punishment: she could either give up her phone for one whole month, or only lose it for two weeks, but let her parents control her social media during that time. Maddi confidently chose the latter… but now is probably regretting that decision.

The punishment began November 11th, and since then her dad has posted several embarrassing selfies on her Instagram and creative dances on Tik Tok. For the past 11 days, Maddi has been dealing with videos circulating the Internet of her dad wearing cowboy boots and crop tops, and singing rap songs. Most of the posts and videos have gone viral.

After the first day, Maddi says she changed her mind and wanted to choose the one-month option instead. Her dad said no, because he was too invested and had too many ideas to give it up so soon.

So our Question of the Night: Would you rather give up your phone for a month, or let someone else control it for two weeks?
