Crime Stoppers Tip Leads To Arrest Of Suspect Wanted For May Armed Robbery, Shooting In East Charlotte; Police Seeking Second Suspect

The CMPD has arrested a man who they say shot a store clerk during an armed robbery in east Charlotte in May.

Quandravious Burks, 29, is charged with Armed Robbery and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.  Police say someone contacted Crime Stoppers anonymously and provided information that detectives were able to confirm, which led to Burks’ arrest on November 22nd, 2019.

The robbery and shooting occurred at the Cornor Mart on Eastway Drive on May 26th, 2019.

The case is still under investigation and detectives are working to identify a second suspect who participated in the crime.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are trying to identify a suspect wanted in connection to a shooting and armed robbery that occurred over the weekend.

The crime happened just after 1:00 a.m. on May 26th at the Cornor Mart on Eastway Drive. Police say the suspect was armed with a handgun when he entered the store and began demanding property.

The suspect reportedly fired multiple shots and hit the store clerk in the leg.

Police say the suspect is a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, roughly 200 pounds and last seen wearing a yellow bandana covering his head, a black bandana covering his face, a black jacket with white stripes, black pants, and black and white sneakers.
