CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are investigating a domestic related shooting that ended with a man being shot in the leg by his girlfriend, according to a spokesperson for CMPD.
The shooting happened Sunday evening at a home on Beatties Ford Road. Police say they responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call around 9:45pm and located a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Further investigation revealed the man was shot by his girlfriend, according to police. The woman has been interviewed but no official charges have been filed at this time.
