Tens of Thousands Pack Uptown for Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade

CHARLOTTE, NC — Tens of thousands of people lined the streets of uptown Thursday for the Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade. This was the 72nd year for the parade. Spectators enjoyed balloons, marching bands and a number of floats.

“It was super exciting to wake up this morning knowing I was going to be surrounded by my family, all of them in the crazy mess, and coming to the parade,” said Charlotte resident Gaylen Allen. “Because it’s something awesome that we love doing together.”

The Novant Health parade is the largest Thanksgiving Day parade in the southeast.
