Man Suffers Life Threatening Injuries After Being Shot In Chest In Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police say a SWAT standoff on Brownstone Road  in Rock Hill could be related to an earlier shooting on Jefferson Drive.

The Jefferson Drive shooting happened around 1 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.

Police say a 49-year-old victim was found sitting on the steps with a gunshot wound to the chest.  EMS treated the victim before he was flown to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The SWAT situation is on Brownstone Road near Finley Road, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
