ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. — One person has been arrested after a man was shot to death in Alexander County on Tuesday afternoon.
At about 12:32 p.m., authorities responded to a shooting at residence on Spring Point Drive in the Stony Point community of Alexander County.
Officers found a white man lying outside of the residence with multiple gunshots to the chest. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies located 39-year-old Joshua Branch at the scene. He was taken to the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office and charged with murder.
The case is still under investigation and more information will be released as it develops.
