Concord Police Investigating A Shooting That Left The Victim With Multiple Gunshot Wounds

CONCORD, N.C — The Concord Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a victim with multiple gunshot wounds on the morning of December 10th.

Jonathon Lawrence, the 19-year-old victim, arrived to the emergency room of Atrium Health Cabarrus suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The incident took place near the intersection of Vance Drive and McKinnon Avenue in Concord around 11:04 a.m., according to police.

According to the investigation, the incident was not a random act and the victim and suspects know each other.

Concord Police are looking for two suspects who are described as being in their late teens or early 20s.

One suspect has been described as a light skin black man that is approximately 5’8″ with ear length dreadlocks that have blonde tips.

The second suspect is described as a black man with short dreadlocks.

Both suspects were armed with a hand gun at the time of the incident, according to police.

The suspects reportedly fled the scene on foot towards the vicinity of the Greens of Concord apartments.
