SALISBURY, NC–Authorities say a deadly accident occurred on Highway 70 Wednesday morning leaving one person dead.
Reports say a passenger vehicle was traveling east when it crossed the center lane and collided head on with a tractor trailer.
The tractor trailer was reportedly carrying wood chips that spilled into the road causing the road to remain closed.
The driver of the SUV was identified as Luis Alberto Gamez Martinez, 27.
