Man Arrested After Allegedly Stealing $40,000 Worth Of Property During Chester County Crime Spree; Warrants Issued For Co-Conspirator

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities in Chester County have arrested a man and are searching for a woman for their alleged involvement in a crime spree that began late last month.

According to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office, on January 24th, 25-year-old Tanner Harris stole a woman’s purse from her car, which was unlocked and parked outside her house.  Harris used the victim’s credit cards to charge roughly $300 to her accounts.

Officials say Harris then continued his crime spree for more than a week, and stole approximately $40,000 worth of items in Chester County.  Investigators say Harris stole purses, credit cards and debit cards, as well as checkbooks and wallets.  He also stole four guns and three vehicles, according to authorities.

Investigators say a number of stolen items have been recovered including all three stolen vehicles and two stolen guns.

Tanner Harris has been charged with 11 counts of Breaking and Entering into an Automobile, 10 counts of Petit Larceny, three counts of Grand Larceny, three counts of Financial Card Fraud, six counts of Possession of Burglary Tools, six counts of Criminal Conspiracy, one count of Burglary and one count of Escape.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 31-year-old Brandy Ferrell. She faces six counts of Criminal Conspiracy for her alleged role in Harris’ criminal activity.  In addition, 34-year-old William Church Jr. is  charged with harboring or employing an escaped convict.
