Would You Pay Strangers To Help You Find A Romantic Partner?
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A Kansas man is offering up some big bucks to whoever helps him find love. 47-year-old Jeff Gebhart is putting his wallet where his heart is. $50,000 are on the line! Not all of that money is for one matchmaker. He’s offering $25,000 to the person who sends a girlfriend his way. It’s basically a referral fee. If the relationship works out, he’ll donate an additional $25,000 to a no-kill dog shelter in Kansas.
Gebhart has gotten the ball rolling, launching a survey website, DateJeffG.com, where you can submit your partner suggestions.
He says, “We developed this basically because I’m single, right? And I don’t wanna go back to the normal, app-based dating stuff. I think a lot of people treat each other pretty poorly through that. And it’s a toxic community. I kinda have a choice there, and I’m choosing not to do that.”
So our question of the night: if you had the cash like Jeff does, would you do the same thing? Can you put a price on finding love?
