York County Investigating Possible Dog Fighting Case
YORK COUNTY, S.C. — York County is seeking the public’s help with an alleged dog fighting case after finding a pit bull terrier abandoned with severe injuries.
According to a news release, York County Animal Control took the dog who was suffering from severe bite wounds to the head, neck and body to an emergency veterinarian for surgery.
The dog was found on January 28 on the dirt road portion of Ratchford Road.
The pit bull is now in stable condition and has been placed in foster care during his recovery.
The York County Code Enforcement Unit which investigates alleged animal fighting cases is generating information about this possible dog fighting case.
