Bernie Sanders Hosts Campaign Rally At Belk Theater In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Fresh off his victory in New Hampshire, Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders brought his campaign to the Queen City, and some Hollywood heavy-hitters took the stage with him.  Sanders touted his ‘Not me, Us” message to supporters in Charlotte.  He also informed the crowd why he believes he’s the best candidate to defeat President Trump.

“We must, and we will defeat the most dangerous president in the modern history of America,” says Democratic Candidate Bernie Sanders.  Under his plan, Sanders says he will increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour, push for a pay increase for teachers, make public colleges and universities tuition free, eliminate student debt, and establish universal health care.

His supporters say the time is now for a change in this country.

“I just believe that Bernie has a track record stronger than any other candidate,” one supporter said.

“He’s the one that’s gonna get it done,” says another supporter.

Sanders says if elected, he plans to legalize marijuana in his first 100 days in office with executive action.
