Rain/Snow Could Bring Light Accumulations for Some

Last of the showers are moving throughΒ this morning. This will make for a soggy a commute for some, but most will be dealing with wet roads. Cool and cloudy today with highs reaching the mid-50s. Much colder air will spill into the area on Thursday. It is looking more likely that most will get some sort of rain/snow during the afternoon and evening. For the mountains, 1-2″ of snow looks likely Up to a 1″ for those along and north of I-40 and less than 1″ (likely a dusting to .5″ max) for everyone else. Dry and cold Thursday night with temps falling into the upper 20s. Cold for Friday with temps only reaching the mid-40s under sunny skies. Seasonable highs return for the weekend with highs back in the mid to upper 50s under mostly sunny conditions. Rain chances back in the forecast early next week.
