7-Year-old Girl Describes Suspect Who Attempted To Kidnap Brother At Bus Stop
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A bold attempted abduction in broad daylight in East Charlotte. Police say a man approached a 10-year-old boy and his little sister at a bus stop and tried to kidnap them.
It happened Thursday morning around 11:30 on North Sharon Amity Road. Classes dismissed early because of the snow. 7-year-old Freisi Loca told WCCB Charlotte as soon as she and her brother stepped off the bus a strange man approached them.
“I was scared, I was so nervous, I was so scared. And, Stephen was scared too,” says Freisi Loca. She says the man told her to ‘come here, little girl’, and then grabbed her brother, Stephen’s arm. Freisi says her brother pinched the man and they both ran home and told their mother.
Their mother called 911.
Freisi says she got a good look at the suspect.
“The man had a book bag, and a hat. He was white, and his hair was black and grey, grey and white,” says the 7-year-old.
Thankfully the siblings were not hurt. Freisi says she saw the man run towards a nearby gas station.
CMPD says officers city-wide are aware of the incident, and the division has increased patrols in the neighborhood. If you know anything about this incident, you’re asked to call 911, or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
