Should L’Oreal Fire Amber Heard Because Of What She Admitted In Audio Recordings?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – There are multiple petitions calling for cosmetics company L’Oreal to fire one of its spokespeople, actress Amber Heard. So far, thousands of people say she doesn’t deserve the job anymore, after hearing what she said on just released audio recordings.

Heard is heard on the recordings admitting to getting violent with her then-husband, Johnny Depp. That’s, of course, problematic on its own. It’s additionally problematic because heard has publicly accused Depp of abusing her.

The recordings were made in 2015, reportedly with both Depp and Heard consenting. There are evidently more of them.

Social media has sounded off, with comments like:
“Johnny Depp deserves so much justice right now for years of being abused and having his reputation slandered by Amber Heard.”
“Signing a petition to remove Amber Heard from L’Oreal is being a good feminist.”
