ROCK HILL, S.C. – Police say a teenager was shot following an altercation in Rock Hill on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Rock Hill Police Department, officers were responded to a shooting on Cornelius drive at about 4:09 p.m. on Sunday. Officers were told that several people at the scene had guns and shots were fired.
While officers were on the way to the scene of the shooting, they learned that a victim of the shooting was at an address on Midland Avenue. Arriving officers located a 16-year-old victim who had been shot.
The victim was taken to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment, according to police. There is no word on his condition at this time.
Police say the shooting stemmed from a fight between numerous people.
