Police: Man Arrested For Robbing First Citizens Bank In Hickory

HICKORY, N.C. — Hickory Police arrested a man for robbing the First Citizens Bank, according to a news release.

Officers say they were called to the bank on Highway 70 SE just after 3pm on February 11th in reference to an armed robbery.

During the robbery, police say the suspect, 31-year-old Timothy Williams, Jr., entered the bank, pulled out a gun and demanded money from a bank teller, according to a news release.

Hickory Police say Williams was arrested on February 24th and charged with robbery with firearms and other dangerous weapons.  He is currently being held in the Catawba County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond.
