Actor’s Theatre Of Charlotte’s ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS Opens April 1st

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (News Release) — Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte presents its upcoming show, ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS by Richard Bean, playing April 1 through May 2 at the Hadley Theater, located at Queen’s University. Other shows taking place throughout Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte’s 31st season include HEAD OVER HEELS.

In ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS, Francis Henshall is looking to make his mark. Fired from a skiffle band and in search of work, he finds himself employed by TWO shifty “guvnors”. Fighting a mounting sense of confusion, Francis goes out of his way to serve both bosses. But with the distractions of a pneumatic book keeper, a self-important actor, and his own mammoth appetite to contend with, how long can he keep them apart? Mistaken identities, outrageous farce, love triangles, and inspired lunacy make for “The funniest show in the western world.”

This production will be directed by Ann Marie Costa with assistant direction by Glynnis O’Donoghue. The cast will include Rob Addison, Jeremy DeCarlos, Ryan Dunn, Peter Finnegan, James K. Flynn, Jacob Haythorn, Tania Kelly, Sarah Molloy, Anna Royal, and Kevin Shimko. “This is a splendidly silly show that will have our audiences belly laughing from the opening line until the curtain comes down.” said Director, Ann Marie Costa. “If you are seeking a night of sheer enjoyment and pleasure, this is the show for you!”

All performances of ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS are 2 hours and 30 minutes with one 15 minute intermission and are held at the Hadley Theater, the company’s home at 2132 Radcliffe Avenue.
