Strong Cold Front Bringing Winter Weather for the Mountains, Strong Wind For All

Waking up to a very foggy start across the region. Dense Fog Advisory until 9 am. Cloudy and warm day as temps closes in on 70 degrees this afternoon. Rain later in the day as a cold front passes through the area. Colder and drier air returns tonight along with the wind. A winter weather advisory for the mountains beginning at 4pm. 1-3″ of snow possible with 4″+ for elevations above 4000′. Very windy for the mountains as well with a strong breeze through Piedmont on Thursday as temps only reach the low 50s. Sunny and dry through the weekend with below average temps. Highs on Saturday won’t get out of the 40s. Warming back up to seasonable highs by Sunday.
