On the Road with James: Lincolnton
Take a tour around Lincoln County's seat with James!
We took a short trip up 321 this week and took a tour around downtown Lincolnton, Lincoln County’s seat. Lincolnton is a rapidly growing city, having doubled in size over the past 30 years, and looks to capitalize on that growth by bringing in attractive new businesses, such as Guitar Wishes and Untapped Territory. Despite having a population of over 10,000, Lincolnton still holds onto its “small-town feel,” thanks in part to its lovely and friendly citizens.
Lincolnton also takes full advantage of the beautiful land it’s built on and boasts many parks and trails, some of which are built through the city. The Marcia H. Cloninger Rail-Trail is certainly a unique attraction I’ll have to come back and experience fully sometime.
Of course, I had to WRAP things up over at Court Street Grille, a staple of the city. Lincolnton is yet another city here in the western Carolinas I’ll have to visit again soon!
