President Trump Talks Coronavirus, Democratic Opponents During Rally in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – President Trump greeted a raucous and energetic crowd in the Queen City on Monday night.

“I’m thrilled to be back in the great city of Charlotte,” he told the crowd.

He began his rally, immediately touting the upturn in the stock market, just days after coronavirus fears led to the worst week on Wall Street since 2008.

And accusing Democrats of politicizing fears over the illness.

“Washington Democrats are trying to politicize the coronavirus. Denigrating the noble work of our public health professionals,” Trump said.

And the President poked fun at his democratic presidential opponents right before Super Tuesday.

The president also touted a list of accomplishments on things like border security, a re-built military, and a reduction in unemployment, especially among minority groups
