Two Arrested For Northwest Charlotte Murder

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department say they charged Antonio Rollins and Requan McCray for the murder of Demarcus Mack.

Police say Rollins and McCray were identified as suspects and were both arrested on March 3rd.  Both suspects have been charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, two counts of discharging a weapon into a moving vehicle, assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD is investigating a homicide after a man dies the day after a shooting in northwest Charlotte.

According to police, officers responded to reports near the intersection of North Crigler Street and Rozzelles Ferry Road around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Upon arrival officers located evidence of a shooting. The investigation led officer to believe two victims were shot and transported to a nearby hospital by their own means of transportation.

According to a news release, one victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and the other victim sustained serious, life-threatening injuries.

On Sunday, the victim who sustained life-threatening injuries died due to his injuries.

The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Demarcus Rashawn Mack, police said.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
