CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD is asking for the public’s assistance with locating a missing 12-year-old boy, who has been missing for over a week.
The call for service for missing Dakota Trent came in at 8:59 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020.
Trent was last seen on foot on Sawyer Drive which is just off of E. W.T Harris Blvd around 3:30 p.m. the same day. He has been known to frequently be around the campus of UNC-Charlotte which is less than a 10 minute drive and around a 40 minute walk from his last known location.
Trent was last seen wearing grey sweats, a blue or black puffer jacket, and blue Adidas sneakers. According to CMPD he is also described as 5’2″ tall and 115 pounds.
He has a history of running away and may attempt to avoid being located.
