In February, a detective was contacted by the Department of Social Services in regards to the neglect of an 8- and 12 year-old boys as well as a 1-, 10- and 11-year-old girls.
The children live at home with their mother Rylan Jackson, 30, and her partner Damato Murray. According to reports, there was concerns of drug use, physical neglect, domestic neglect and verbal abuse.
On Thursday around 4 p.m. Murray was arrested and charged with Neglect of a Child, according to a news release.
After an investigation it has been determined that Murray neglected the children over a period of months ranging from July 2019 to January 2020.
In addition to Murray’s arrest, Jackson, was arrested last week on child neglect charges after her one-year-old child tested positive for heroin, according to officials.
Murray is a former employee of the Chester County Sheriff’s Office, where he served as a Deputy, deputies say. He was hired in February 2018 and was terminated in August of 2018.
