LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Two people were injured due to an assault and stabbing incident that happened in Lincolnton.
Deputies were called to Gastonia Highway south near Victory Grove Church Road around 3 p.m. where an incident happened in or near a vehicle that had pulled off to the side of the road.
When officers arrived they located 29-year-old Tevin Friday and 23-year-old Jarica Williams.
According to a news release, Friday was found lying on the ground bleeding from a stab wound and Williams also had injuries.
Friday was transported to Atrium Health – Charlotte while Williams was transported to Atrium Health – Lincoln for treatment. They are expected to make a full recovery from the injuries, officers say.
Investigation into the incident is continuing by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Detective J. Lail.
