CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Reports claim the Carolina Panthers are finalizing a deal with New Orleans Saints back up quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who is currently an unrestricted free agent.
Several sources say Bridgewater was also in the talks with the New England Patriots after Tom Brady announced this morning that he is leaving the Patriots after a 20-year tenure.
The Panthers just announced that they are allowing quarterback Cam Newton to seek a trade. Newton posted his disappointment in the announcement by commenting on the Panthers’ Instagram page. Former teammates Greg Olsen and Thomas Davis also weighed in.
