Boone Police Asking For Public’s Help Identifying Two Robbery Suspects

BOONE, N.C. — The Boone Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects who robbed a Circle K Gas Station.

According to a news release, officers responded to a robbery with a weapon call on Monday around 10:45 p.m. at the gas station located on State Farm Road. Upon arrival, the store clerk informed officers that two white masked men entered the store demanding money from the register – one of which had a knife.

The two suspects left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, beer, beef jerky and cigarettes, officers said. The suspects were headed in a northwest direction.

After reviewing video footage of the incident, it was determined that the suspects spoke to the clerk with a distinct Hispanic accent, a news release said.

According to officers, one suspect has been described as wearing a gray sweatshirt with black sleeves and hood, blue jeans with white fade marks on the front and back and boots at the time of the incident. The second suspect was wearing a black zip-up jacket with a hood, and dark blue jeans. The hood was partially or fully lined in red.

After canvasing the area it was revealed that a white, possibly four door vehicle was seen in the parking lot of a Kimberly Drive apartment complex, nearby the incident.

It has also been revealed that a witness observed a white man changing his shirt at this vehicle.
