Local Man Arrested For Falsely Claiming He Had Coronavirus Inside Albemarle Walmart
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – From the stupid criminal file: a Carolina man arrested at a local Walmart, after announcing inside the store that he was coronavirus positive. Justin M. Rhodes was arrested and charged with felony perpetrating a hoax in a public building and disorderly conduct. Albemarle Police say he walked into the Walmart in Albemarle on March 18 and announced that he had tested positive for coronavirus. He made the announcement on Facebook live.
Rhodes got a $10,000 secured bond. His first scheduled court appearance is March 30.
