Rain Ropes in Carolinas

Off-and-on rain, heavy at times, will plague your Monday morning and afternoon.

A big cooldown moved through the Carolinas Saturday night, as temperatures dropped nearly 30° in some spots in a matter of hours. After topping out in the 80s for the first half of the weekend, temperatures will struggle to get out of the 50s for your Sunday as widespread clouds persist for the afternoon. Prepare for a wet Sunday overnight into Monday as a rainmaking system moves through to start the workweek. While the best chance for rain will likely come between midnight and sunrise, the heaviest rain moves through during the late morning/early afternoon hours on Monday. Scattered showers will persist through much of the first half of the workweek, before an eventual drying out and sharp warm-up.
