Looking Toasty for Weekend
The Charlotte area could crack 90º on Saturday.
After a cool and cloudy Thursday, the sun moves back in and cranks up the heat in a big way as we head into the weekend. Expect temperatures to rise 20-25º above normal for the first half of the weekend, and the Charlotte area could crack the 90º mark for your Saturday. Record highs will be in play for much of the viewing area this weekend. While many of us will remain dry for the entire weekend, there is a slight chance of showers and storms for our Sunday afternoon, mainly limited to the northern Piedmont, Foothills, and High Country. The next best rain chance comes on Tuesday, followed by a quick cooldown by midweek next week.
