Man Arrested For Shooting Another Man In Face Near Marshville

MARSHVILLE, N.C. — Deputies say they arrested a 55-year-old man for shooting another man in the face following an argument at a party near Marshville.

Deputies say they were called to a convenience store just after 10pm on March 22nd in reference to a shooting.

The victim told deputies he was sitting in his truck on JJ Autry Road when he was shot by a man who got into a fight with his friend.

Deputies say Sherman Chambers fired a shotgun at the victim’s friend.  Deputies say birdshot from the shotgun struck the victim in the face.

Deputies say the victim drove himself to the convenience store for help.  He was then taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released for his injuries.

Chambers has been charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, according to deputies.
