Cooler, Wetter Workweek Ahead
Temperatures will dip to below-average levels by midweek.
We were toasty warm this weekend with temperatures over 20° above average in some spots, but that all comes crashing down as we head into the first week of April. A cold front moved through Sunday afternoon, bringing spotty rain chances, but a big cooldown will set up shop by midweek. Mostly cloudy skies will move in this evening and stick around for our Monday, as cooler, but still above average, temperatures prevail in the 60s and 70s across the western Carolinas.
The rainiest day for the foreseeable future comes in on Tuesday, where the afternoon hours could end up being a wash. Much of the WCCB Charlotte viewing area can expect anywhere between 0.25-0.75″ through Tuesday, with localized heavier totals in the High Country. Temperatures will struggle to get out of the 40s and 50s Tuesday and Wednesday before an eventual warmup by next weekend.

Monday Night: Variable clouds. Low: 52°. Wind: Light.
