COVID-19 Leads To Changes At Eastridge Mall Tag Office

NCDMV License Plate Agency 131 announces reduced hours due to pandemic

GASTONIA, N.C. — For the health and safety of customers and employees during the COVID-19 pandemic, NCDMV License Plate Agency 131 located at Eastridge Mall will be operating on a modified schedule.

The office will be open:

  • Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM and on Fridays from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
  • The modified schedule will remain in effect through Friday, April 17 unless changes are necessary.

North Carolina’s Stay at Home order provides for essential businesses to continue to operate while prioritizing social distancing measures. It directs people to stay at home except to visit essential businesses, to exercise outdoors or to help a family member. Specifically, the order bans gatherings of more than 10 people and directs everyone to physically stay at least six feet apart from others.

“With the Stay at Home order in place, we have made the decision to reduce our hours of operation to help slow the spread of Coronavirus while continuing to serve our community,” said Thomas Cloninger, NCDMV License Plate Agency 131 Contractor. “We’re especially grateful to the Eastridge Mall Management Team for allowing our office to remain open.”

NCDMV License Plate Agency 131 is located inside Eastridge Mall. While the mall is currently closed, the tag office can be accessed through the mall’s food court entrance. Eastridge Mall is located at 246 N. New Hope Rd. in Gastonia.
