Police Investigating After Man Found Shot In Street Near Crashed Vehicle In Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, S.C.– Police are investigating after a man was found shot near his crashed vehicle in Rock Hill on Monday night.

According to the Rock Hill Police Department, at about 8:08 p.m., officers responded to reports of a man lying in the street near the intersection of West Main Street and Cherry Road.

Arriving officers found the a 21-year-old man lying in the street with gunshot wounds.  Police say his car had run off the road and hit a utility pole and fence.

The victim was taken to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment.  Police have not given an update of his condition.

Officials say the shooting occurred at the Oak Hollow Apartments on South York Avenue and officers were able to find several shell casings in the apartment complex parking lot.
