Warm Weather Wafts into Workweek
Temperatures will swell to 10-15º above normal.
After sunny skies and 70s for highs stuck around for the better part of the past five days, we’ll be cranking up the heat a notch as we head into the new week. Winds will shift to the south and west for much of the week ahead, supporting well-above-average temperatures through Thursday. Expect 70s and 80s across the western Carolinas for your Monday and Tuesday, with widely scattered showers and storms during the afternoon. It appears that Wednesday will be the warmest day in the week ahead, as temperatures could come close to 90º. Beyond that, a cold front appears poised to move in by Friday, returning temperatures closer to normal by next weekend.
