Wetter, Cooler Days Ahead
Temperatures may struggle to get out of the 70s and 80s as we close out the workweek.
After a gorgeous start to the workweek with plentiful sunshine and lower humidity, we’re back to business as we head into the weekend. A slow-moving rainmaking system will set up shop over the Carolina coast over the next few days, bumping up cloud cover and rain chances through Friday evening. While the humidity returns as well, temperatures will remain well below-average in the upper 70s and lower 80s in the Piedmont and Foothills. The High Country may struggle to clear the lower 70s as we head into the weekend. No single day over the next three will be a complete wash, but virtually every county in the WCCB Charlotte viewing area should receive some kind of measurable rainfall through Friday. Drier conditions should return for the weekend, as temperatures slowly return to the upper 80s and lower 90s by next week.
