Clouds, Cooler Conditions Continue

Temperatures remain below-average in the 70s and 80s for the time being.

Scattered rain chances continue through Thursday evening into Friday, as we stick around on the cool side of a coastal system sweeping through the South. The increasing cloud and shower coverage will keep things cooler and more comfortable in the 70s and 80s for the next couple of afternoons across the WCCB Charlotte viewing area. Despite the cooler highs, lows should remain near-normal in the 60s and lower 70s, thanks to overnight clouds and higher humidity levels. As we head into the weekend, however, our neighborhood-friendly rainmaking system should weaken a bit, allowing for more sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures as we head into the weekend. A more classic summertime pattern arises next week, as highs return to the upper 80s and lower 90s to go along with afternoon pop-up storms.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with scattered storms. High: 81°. Wind: E 5-10.

Friday Night: Mainly cloudy with isolated storms. Low: 69°. Wind: Light.

Saturday: More sunshine. PM isolated storms. High: 85°. Wind: SW 5-10.
