One Person Seriously Injured After Uptown Charlotte Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person is being treated for life-threatening injuries after an uptown Charlotte shooting Tuesday, according to police.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police responded to the shooting that happened on East Trade Street, nearby the Epicentre, around 11:45 a.m. where they located the victim with a gunshot wound. The victim has been transported to the hospital by MEDIC.

Detectives are not actively looking for any additional suspects at this time.

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.

LYNX Blue Line trains will currently not stop at the CTC/Arena Station due to an incident near the platform. Riders have been advised to board trains at 3rd St. and 7th St. Stations until further notice.
