Unsettled Pattern to End the Week

Scattered storms back in the forecast today with highs topping out in the low to mid-80s across the Piedmont. Plenty of moisture not only leading to more clouds today but will give these storms lots of juice for heavy downpours. Localized flooding will once again be a concern with a few storms producing damaging wind as well. Unsettled weather will stretch into Friday before a more typical late August pattern returns this weekend. Highs will return to the upper 80s early next week, with isolated to widely scattered storm chances.
