Rain Largely Ships Out, Clouds Remain for Weekend

Clouds will stick around and keep temperatures on the cooler side for now.

After another wet week, things will finally dry out again for the weekend. If you were looking forward to some summer sun, however, you may be disappointed. Clouds will still hang around the Carolinas for much of the weekend ahead, dulling the afternoons and keeping temperatures on the cooler side for the time being. Rain chances return to the “isolated” range for both Saturday and Sunday while temperatures ping in the mid-80s for the Piedmont and Foothills and the 70s hang over the High Country. While storm chances will be few and far between for the Piedmont, the Foothills and High County could see more scattered showers during the afternoons ahead. The sunshine should return by the middle portions of next week, although we’re keeping a close eye on two tropical systems that could be making landfall in the Gulf around that same timeframe.
