Steady Warm-Up Inbound
Clouds and storms persist for the next few days, but the sunshine should make a triumphant return by midweek.
It’s been dreary and cloudy for the past several days, but the sunshine should make a glowing return soon. As expected, with more sunshine comes warmer temperatures. While the Piedmont should continue to top out in the 80s to start out the workweek, the 90s should come back into the forecast by midweek. Expect scattered afternoon storms both Monday and Tuesday, as a weak rainmaking system approaches from the west. We should dry out by Wednesday, but we should keep a watchful eye out for the remnants of Hurricane Marco and Tropical Storm Laura as they march through the Gulf into the South.
