Google Searches For Anxiety Highest In Search Engine’s History During Pandemic This Spring
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Google searches for anxiety were the highest in the history of the search engine during the pandemic this spring. That’s according to a new study from UC San Diego that suggests that for some Americans, fear about COVID may have a bigger effect on their health the actual virus.
The researchers hope the data can help them design interventions that directly benefit people suffering from panic attacks. Forbes also reports that a recent CDC survey found 40% of American adults reported problems with mental health or substance abuse in June.
